Bhayshul Tuten enters the 2026 fantasy football season as one of the more intriguing breakout bets at running back. The biggest reason for optimism is opportunity: recent fantasy analysis points to Travis Etienne being gone, which opens the door for Tuten to handle lead-back duties in Jacksonville’s offense, and several projection models now have him leading the Jaguars in rushing attempts.

The talent profile is encouraging too. FantasyPros notes that Tuten ranked highly in several efficiency metrics as a rookie, including fifth in rushing success rate, 11th in missed tackle rate, and 17th in yards after contact per attempt among qualifying backs, which supports the idea that he can do more with a larger workload. Fantasy Life’s 2026 outlook also projects a useful receiving role, with 39 targets and 30 catches, which matters a lot in PPR formats if Jacksonville keeps him involved on passing downs.

There is still some risk, though, because his workload is not completely locked in. FantasyPros says Chris Rodriguez remains a concern for goal-line work and overall touch share, and Fantasy Football Calculator’s offseason notes say Rodriguez had been absent from the Jaguars’ offseason program while Tuten “looked like he was picking up steam” in OTAs and coach Liam Coen said he looks more in tune with the scheme than he did a year ago. Tuten also dealt with a finger injury late in his rookie season, so the clearest path to a fantasy payoff is health plus a clean runway to early-down and scoring opportunities.

For fantasy drafts, Tuten looks like a strong upside RB2 or high-end flex target, especially in formats that reward receptions and touchdowns. The range of outcomes is wide, but the combination of a likely role increase, explosive traits, and a favorable team context in Jacksonville makes him a player worth targeting before his price rises further, with current ADP data showing him available in the middle rounds rather than as a locked-in starter.
