Season Preview

The Cardinals enter 2026 as a fantasy team with real upside in the passing game, but there’s enough churn on the roster to keep things interesting. Jacoby Brissett is the expected starter, which keeps the floor reasonable but lowers the ceiling compared with a true dual-threat quarterback; that said, the offense can still support weekly fantasy starters if it stays efficient.

Trey McBride is the safest Cardinals pick by a wide margin and remains the most bankable pass-catcher in this offense. Marvin Harrison Jr. is still a strong bet for volume and a step-forward season, while Michael Wilson is more of a matchup-based flex than someone to count on every week. The big question is whether Brissett can keep the passing game balanced enough for both Harrison and McBride to deliver consistently.

In the backfield, Arizona has become much more crowded. Recent roster movement added Evan Hull and Tyler Allgeier to a group that already includes James Conner and Trey Benson, which adds a layer of uncertainty to the weekly workload. Conner’s health history matters here, and Benson is the name to stash if you want upside, but this is no longer a clean one-back fantasy situation.

The biggest fantasy takeaway is that Arizona’s offense still has usable pieces, but managers should expect more volatility than they’d like. McBride is a strong target, Harrison Jr. is the premium upside bet, and the running back room looks like a committee that could shift again if injuries hit. In short, the Cardinals are a better team to mine for value than to build around as a whole.
