Bijan Robinson enters the 2026 fantasy season in elite shape and still looks like one of the safest first-round picks in football. He just signed a massive three-year extension with Atlanta worth up to $75 million, with $51 million guaranteed, which locks him into the Falcons long term and removes any contract-year distraction. Atlanta also picked up his fifth-year option earlier this offseason, so his team situation is stable through at least 2027.

From a fantasy standpoint, Robinson is coming off a huge 2025 season with 2,298 total yards and 11 total touchdowns, and he remained heavily involved as both a runner and receiver. The latest projections still have him near the very top of the position, with fantasy outlets ranking him around RB1-RB2 overall and projecting another monster workload in both phases of the offense. That kind of usage is exactly what fantasy managers want from an early first-round pick.

The coaching change in Atlanta also matters, because the Falcons are now expected to lean into a more offense-friendly setup with Kevin Stefanski named as the new head coach this offseason. That is a strong setup for Robinson, since his game already translates beautifully to high-volume, efficient production on the ground and in the passing game. If the offense improves even a little, he has a realistic path to finishing as the overall RB1.

The only real concern with Robinson is the usual running back risk: injuries can swing even great seasons, and fantasy managers should still draft with some depth behind him. But there is no recent sign of a trade, cut, or major health issue changing his outlook, and all current reporting points to him being the centerpiece of Atlanta’s offense again in 2026. In short, Robinson is a premium fantasy cornerstone who deserves to be treated like a top-two pick in most leagues.
