His 2025 season was the best of his career, with 60 catches, 591 yards, and 11 touchdowns, which made him a top-10 fantasy tight end and gave him a ceiling that few players at the position can match.

The biggest reason for optimism is that Goedert is still a trusted red-zone weapon in an offense that has consistently found ways to use him near the goal line. Several analysts noted that a large share of his 2025 touchdowns came on short-yardage shovel-pass concepts, and that role should keep him useful in scoring formats even if his yardage stays modest. In PPR leagues, his reception total gives him a usable weekly floor, especially if Philadelphia continues to feature him as a short and intermediate target.

There are also real reasons to expect some regression. Goedert is 31, and the production spike in touchdowns is hard to repeat, especially after a career-high 11 scores in 2025. He may also lose some target share to rookie tight end Eli Stowers, which adds a little uncertainty to his volume outlook even though he still profiles as the clear lead tight end. The positive side of that age and contract situation is that he is still viewed as a reliable NFL starter, whether he remains in Philadelphia beyond this year or not.

For fantasy managers, Goedert looks like a strong TE1 with top-10 upside and the kind of weekly touchdown equity that can separate him from the middle tier. He is not the safest bet to repeat last year’s scoring pace, but his role, talent, and proven chemistry with the Eagles keep him well above the streaming tier and make him a comfortable target in 2026 drafts.
