Garrett Wilson
New York Jets
Season Preview
Garrett Wilson enters the 2026 fantasy football season as one of the safest target bets in the league, and his profile is built on volume more than explosive quarterback-dependent production. He was on a WR1 pace before a knee injury ended his 2025 season early, and multiple recent previews expect him to be fully healthy for 2026 with no surgery required and no long-term limitation reported.
The biggest reason fantasy managers should still feel good about Wilson is his target-earning ability. He has consistently operated as the Jets’ clear No. 1 option, including an early-2025 stretch where he reportedly drew an elite 30% target share, and recent analysis again projects him as the centerpiece of the passing game. In full PPR formats, that kind of target volume gives him a very stable weekly floor, even if the overall efficiency of the offense is only average.
The main concern is that the ceiling may not be as high as the raw talent suggests. The Jets added target competition with two first-round rookies, and some fantasy analysts think that keeps Wilson more in the WR2 range than a locked-in foundation WR1. Still, he is expected to remain the top receiving option, and the arrival of Geno Smith is viewed as an upgrade over the quarterback situations Wilson has dealt with in recent years.
For 2026 draft purposes, Wilson looks like a high-floor, midrange WR1 or strong WR2 depending on scoring format and how much you trust the Jets’ offense. A reasonable expectation is something in the neighborhood of 90-plus catches and around 1,000 yards, with touchdown upside that could push him higher if the offense is more efficient than expected. If you want stability in your WR2 spot with real WR1 upside, Wilson is still one of the cleaner bets on the board.
