Jadarian Price

Seattle Seahawks

Season Preview

Jadarian Price enters 2026 as one of the most interesting rookie running backs in fantasy because the Seahawks invested first-round draft capital in him and appear ready to feature him immediately. Seattle selected him 32nd overall, and multiple post-draft fantasy previews project him as the lead back in a backfield that lost Kenneth Walker, which gives Price a clear path to early-season volume.

The appeal starts with his running profile. FantasyPros describes Price as a strong rushing talent with standout marks in yards after contact, breakaway rate, and elusive rating over the last two college seasons, while also noting that he was selected to potentially be Seattle’s new feature back. That kind of profile matters in fantasy because efficient, explosive runners can turn a reasonable workload into weekly RB2 or even RB1 production, especially if the team is willing to ride him near the goal line.

The biggest question is his passing-game role. FantasyPros notes that Price was an unknown as a receiver in college, with only 13 targets over his last two seasons at Notre Dame, and that he is still competing with Emanuel Wilson and George Holani for touches while Zach Charbonnet’s return to full strength is not fully settled. That makes Price less of a bankable three-down lock and more of a volume-and-efficiency bet, which is still a very strong fantasy combination if Seattle gives him the workload many analysts expect.

For fantasy drafters, Price looks like a high-upside target who can return strong value if his role matches the draft capital and preseason buzz. FantasyLife’s projection has him leading the backfield in touches, and other previews call him a potential league-winner because of the combination of talent, team investment, and available opportunity. The main risk is that rookie backs can be volatile early, especially if the coaching staff leans on a committee or limits his receiving work, but the ceiling is clearly high enough to make him one of the more exciting 2026 fantasy backs to draft.
