Jake Ferguson enters the 2026 fantasy season as a dependable, volume-based tight end in Dallas, with his role as the Cowboys’ clear No. 1 TE still intact. The latest reports say he remains the unquestioned starter and that Dallas is keeping its key veterans out of preseason action, so his absence from the opener is not a concern.

Ferguson’s 2025 production gives him a strong floor to build on, after he posted career highs with 82 catches, 600 yards, and eight touchdowns. That touchdown total was a big driver of his value, though several fantasy outlooks note that repeating that kind of scoring rate is less likely than repeating his target volume.

The main thing to watch in 2026 is the Dallas passing hierarchy.
