TE

Jake Ferguson

Dallas Cowboys

Season Preview

As we head into the 2025 fantasy football season, Jake Ferguson is an intriguing name to keep on your radar, especially given his tumultuous but promising past. In 2023, Ferguson emerged as a reliable option for the Dallas Cowboys, particularly in the second half of the season. He consistently played at least 72% of the team's offensive snaps from Week 11 onwards and finished strong, including a standout 10-catch, 93-yard, and three-touchdown performance in the playoffs.

However, the 2024 season was marred by injuries, both for Ferguson and his quarterback, Dak Prescott. Ferguson dealt with a knee injury and a concussion, while Prescott's hamstring injury kept him out for half the season. These setbacks resulted in Ferguson finishing as the TE30 in 2024, with 59 catches for 494 yards but no touchdowns.

Despite these challenges, there is optimism for a bounce-back season in 2025. With both Ferguson and Prescott healthy, and the addition of wide receiver George Pickens to the Cowboys' roster, the offense is poised for a significant boost. While Pickens might reduce Ferguson's target share slightly, he also brings a vertical element that could open up the middle of the field, allowing Ferguson to capitalize on his strengths.

Ferguson's current ADP at TE16, typically drafted between the 11th and 12th rounds, presents a compelling value. He finished his breakout year in 2023 with the most red zone targets among tight ends, and with his role secure in the Cowboys' offense, he is primed for a strong season. If you're looking for a reliable tight end at a discounted price, Jake Ferguson is an excellent target for your fantasy team.
