Kyler Murray enters 2026 as one of the more interesting fantasy quarterbacks because his situation changed dramatically in the offseason. Multiple recent reports say he signed a one-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings, and fantasy analysts expect that landing spot to give him a real chance to rebound after an injury-shortened, disappointing 2025 with Arizona.

From a fantasy standpoint, the appeal is still the dual-threat profile. Murray has repeatedly shown he can create value with his legs, averaging at least 30 rushing yards per game across all seven of his NFL seasons, and he has stacked multiple strong fantasy finishes when healthy. His 2024 numbers also showed the familiar upside: 3,851 passing yards, 21 passing touchdowns, 572 rushing yards, and five rushing scores, which put him in the top-12 range at quarterback in fantasy formats.

The biggest question is health and volume. Murray played only five games in 2025 before a foot injury ended his season, which is the kind of missed time that can push a quarterback down draft boards even when the talent is still there. If he wins and keeps the starting job in Minnesota, the environment looks much better than what he had late in Arizona, especially with Kevin O’Connell’s offense and a strong group of pass catchers around him.

For 2026 fantasy drafts, Murray looks like a strong value pick rather than a safe cornerstone. The recent consensus places him in the QB15-ish range with upside for much more if the rushing production returns and the Vikings’ offense clicks quickly. In practical terms, he’s the kind of quarterback you can target after the elite tier is gone, with the upside to finish well above his draft slot if he stays healthy and wins the job early.
