Kyler Murray

Kyler Murray enters the 2026 season in a much better fantasy setup than he had late in Arizona, and the biggest reason is that he is now with the Minnesota Vikings after being released by the Cardinals in March and signing a one-year deal with Minnesota shortly after. He was also named the Vikings’ starting quarterback for Week 1, which removes the biggest uncertainty from his fantasy profile and gives him immediate QB1 upside if he stays healthy.

From a fantasy standpoint, Murray still brings the same elite dual-threat appeal that has made him such a strong points-per-game player throughout his career. Recent projections and rankings have him in the neighborhood of about 280 fantasy points, with roughly 3,500 passing yards, 23–24 passing touchdowns, and nearly 500 rushing yards, which keeps him firmly in the streaming-to-low-end QB1 conversation and very attractive in superflex formats.

The main concern remains durability, and that will matter for drafters. Murray missed the back half of the 2025 season with a foot injury in Arizona, and while he is past the worst of that situation, his recent injury history is enough to keep some managers cautious even with the improved landing spot. The good news is that the Vikings’ offense should be more efficient than what he had in his final stretch with the Cardinals, giving him a better chance to turn volume into weekly fantasy production.

Overall, Murray looks like one of the better value quarterbacks to target in 2026 because the cost is lower than the ceiling. If you wait on quarterback, he offers a strong mix of rushing floor, passing upside, and new-team bounce, and he profiles as a very usable starter in one-QB leagues with even more appeal in leagues that start two quarterbacks.
