TE

Mark Andrews

Baltimore Ravens

Season Preview

Mark Andrews enters the 2025 fantasy football season as a strong candidate to reclaim his spot among the top tight ends, armed with the talent and opportunity to be a top 3-5 fantasy TE again. After a somewhat inconsistent 2024 season, where he finished as the TE6 largely on the back of an impressive 11 receiving touchdowns but posted a career-low target share, Andrews showed clear signs of improvement in the latter half of last year, especially after recovering from tightrope surgery. From Week 10 onward, his per-route metrics sharply increased, with his target share rising from 11.3% to 18.1% and his receiving yards per game jumping from 32.1 to 48, marking him as a valuable asset once healthy and fully integrated into Baltimore’s offense again.

Despite the solid touchdown production in 2024, there are some uncertainties about Andrews’ role in the Ravens’ passing game. The team returns its full complement of receivers, potentially limiting his target share rebound after a drop in 2024 to about 15%. Additionally, his tight end partner Isaiah Likely is recovering from a foot fracture, and his availability early in the season is not guaranteed. This situation could either boost Andrews’ target volume if Likely misses time or keep it capped should Likely return healthy. Furthermore, Andrews is approaching his age-28 season and is in the final year of his contract, which traditionally can motivate strong performance as he looks to maximize his value in free agency.

From a fantasy perspective, Andrews remains a desirable tight end pick due to his proven touchdown upside and improving underlying metrics. Analysts advise "buying the dip," as his second-half 2024 numbers signal a clear return to form. When fully healthy, he consistently functions as a key red-zone threat for Lamar Jackson and the Ravens, who tend to utilize him heavily in scoring situations. Fantasy managers will need to monitor his target volume early on and adjust expectations accordingly, but his ability to produce significant fantasy points—especially through scores—cannot be overlooked.

Overall, Mark Andrews is poised for a strong 2025 campaign if he continues to build on his recovery and increased efficiency from late 2024. While his receiving volume may not approach his 2021 peak, his touchdown potential and role as a primary or secondary receiving option on a talented Baltimore offense keep him firmly in the TE1 discussion. Fantasy owners who invest a draft pick in Andrews should be rewarded, especially in leagues that heavily value tight ends who can find the end zone consistently.
