Season Preview

Nico Collins enters the 2026 fantasy football season looking like a strong WR1 option if he stays healthy. He is still with the Texans, and Houston reworked his deal in May to give him a big raise and fully guarantee the remaining money, which is a clear sign he remains a centerpiece of the offense.

The main thing fantasy managers need to remember is his injury history. Collins suffered a concussion in the playoffs in January 2026 and missed Houston’s divisional-round game, but recent August reports say he has been active in camp and that his offseason workload limits were not injury-related.

When he’s on the field, Collins has the profile fantasy players want: size, explosiveness, and a strong connection with C.J. Stroud. He has been productive enough to rank as a weekly difference-maker in past seasons, and Houston still looks built to feed him as its top receiver.

For 2026 drafts, Collins should be treated as a high-end pick with top-10 upside at wide receiver. The reward is huge because he can deliver elite target shares and big-yardage weeks, but the risk is that his injury history makes it smart to have quality depth behind him.
