Rashee Rice
Kansas City Chiefs
Season Preview
Rashee Rice enters 2026 as one of the most explosive fantasy wideouts in the league, with a true WR1 ceiling in Kansas City if he stays on the field. Recent fantasy outlooks agree that he is still Patrick Mahomes’ top receiver and a realistic top-five fantasy option because of his heavy target share, strong red-zone usage, and elite per-game production when active.
The main reason to be careful is durability and off-field uncertainty, not talent. Rice has played only 12 games over the past two seasons because of injuries and suspension-related absences, and some recent reports note the possibility of further discipline or legal complications, even though other current fantasy previews say the NFL is not seeking a 2026 suspension. That mixed backdrop is exactly why his draft price has been volatile, with some analysts treating him as a late first- or early second-round pick and others preferring him a bit later because of the risk.
When Rice has played, the production has been elite. He posted 16.2 PPR points per game in four games in 2024 and 18.8 PPR points per game in eight games in 2025, while also ranking highly in red-zone involvement and targets per game. That profile matters in fantasy because it suggests he does not need massive volume to pay off, since Kansas City has used him as a high-value weapon on screens, short routes, and scoring-area targets.
For 2026 drafts, Rice is best viewed as a high-upside WR1 with more risk than the very safest first-round receivers. If you want weekly ceiling and are comfortable managing some uncertainty, he belongs in the first two rounds; if you prefer stability, he is the kind of player who can swing leagues but also force you to plan for missed time.
