As we approach the 2025 fantasy football season, Ray Davis is poised to be a significant contributor to the Buffalo Bills' backfield, particularly in PPR formats. After a promising rookie season, Davis has shown flashes of fantasy value, especially with his role in goal-line situations and his prowess as a receiver. His college growth in 2023 highlighted his vision, short-area quickness, and a knack for finding the endzone, which translates well to the NFL.

Davis's performance last season was encouraging, with the Bills giving him 130 touches, indicating their trust in his abilities. If James Cook were to miss any time, Davis would likely step into the leadback role in a timeshare with Ty Johnson. This makes him a strong handcuff option and a potential backend RB3 in PPR formats, with projections suggesting he could achieve around 750 combined yards, over seven scores, and 25 catches.

Given his current role and potential for increased involvement, Davis's price point in fantasy drafts should be favorable, making it easy to include him as a handcuff to James Cook. His combination of size, speed (4.5 in the 40-yard dash), and playmaking abilities positions him well for a breakout season if opportunities arise. As such, fantasy managers should keep a close eye on Davis as a reliable and potentially impactful addition to their rosters.
