Multiple recent fantasy outlets describe him as the likely WR1 in a more pass-friendly environment for Drake Maye, which gives him a clearer path to volume than he had in Green Bay.

The appeal is straightforward: Doubs has already shown he can be a steady NFL receiver, and in 2025 he posted a career-best 55 catches, 724 yards, and six touchdowns on 85 targets across 16 games. That kind of production does not scream elite fantasy ceiling, but it does show a reliable floor, especially now that New England has paid him like an important part of the offense.

For fantasy managers, the key question is whether the Patriots will give him enough target share to matter every week. Early 2026 projections range around the high-50s in catches, roughly 750 yards, and about six touchdowns, which lands him in the WR3/FLEX range with touchdown upside rather than true WR1 territory. The upside case is that he becomes Maye’s most dependable outside target and outperforms a modest draft price, while the risk is that New England’s offense still spreads the ball around or adds more receiving talent later in the offseason.

My take is that Doubs is a strong value pick in 2026 redraft leagues if you want a stable midround receiver with room to beat cost. He is especially attractive in best ball and as a weekly flex option, but I would not draft him expecting a major breakout beyond what his new role and contract already suggest.
