Sean Tucker is back in Tampa Bay for 2026 after re-signing with the Buccaneers in April, and that alone keeps him on the fantasy radar as a depth back with scoring upside. He is not currently projected as a starter, though, with Tampa Bay’s 2026 depth chart listing Bucky Irving ahead of him and Kenneth Gainwell also in the mix.

Tucker’s best path to fantasy relevance is still the same one it has been: injuries ahead of him or a sudden shift in the Buccaneers’ backfield usage. Tampa Bay’s first official 2026 depth chart had Tucker behind Irving, and multiple current depth charts list him as RB3, which suggests limited weekly volume unless the chart changes. That makes him more of a bench stash than a reliable weekly starter in standard redraft formats.

The good news is that Tucker has already shown he can help when given chances, and Tampa Bay brought him back after he produced a team-leading eight touchdowns in 2025. That touchdown production matters because his fantasy value is likely to come from goal-line chances rather than heavy receiving work, especially in a backfield where he is not expected to lead the committee.

For 2026 fantasy drafts, Tucker looks like a late-round flier in deeper leagues and a handcuff-type stash in formats where you can afford to wait. The safest read is that he starts the season as a low-volume reserve, but his combination of retained roster spot, prior scoring production, and backup status gives him sneaky upside if Tampa Bay’s backfield gets shaken up.
