Tampa Bay signed him to a one-year deal, and current fantasy coverage points to him remaining behind Bucky Irving and Kenneth Gainwell on the depth chart, but with a realistic path to a larger role if the backfield shifts during the year.

The biggest reason Tucker is interesting is that his 2025 workload grew, with a career-high 86 carries, which suggests the Buccaneers trust him enough to keep him involved. At the same time, his 2025 efficiency dipped, and his passing-game production remained a clear weakness, highlighted by just 0.58 yards per route run, so he still profiles more as a downhill change-of-pace runner than a complete back.

For fantasy managers, that means Tucker is best viewed as a late-round bench stash rather than a player you need to start with confidence. If Irving were to miss time, Tucker’s speed and big-play ability could make him a weekly upside play, but the more likely weekly outcome is modest rushing usage with limited receiving volume unless he takes a step forward as a pass catcher.

The overall 2026 outlook is encouraging but still capped: Tucker has enough talent to matter, and his role could expand if Tampa Bay’s backfield stays thin, but he needs either an injury ahead of him or a major improvement in the passing game to become a true fantasy starter. In deeper leagues, he’s worth rostering as one of those backups who can suddenly matter if the depth chart breaks his way.
