He’s still with the Los Angeles Rams, is currently listed healthy, and the latest preseason fantasy treatment has him hovering around TE32 with a modest projection, which matches the overall “watchlist” profile around him.

The upside case is obvious: Ferguson is still one of the more intriguing athletic tight ends in the league, and several recent previews have pointed to a possible Year 2 leap if his role grows in Sean McVay’s offense. Some analysts have even described him as a breakout candidate because of his receiver-like usage, including snaps from the slot and out wide, which gives him a path to more fantasy-friendly routes than a typical inline tight end.

The problem is opportunity. The Rams have enough tight end competition and role ambiguity that Ferguson remains more of a speculative stash than a weekly starter, and multiple 2026 outlooks say he should not be drafted in most formats. That said, if the Rams lean further into his move-TE traits, he could become a useful streaming option or a late-season waiver add in deeper leagues.

Injury-wise, Ferguson has had hamstring issues in the past, including late-season availability concerns, so durability is worth watching even though he’s currently healthy.
