The good news is that recent reporting says he’s now healthy and has regained his usual explosiveness, which is exactly what fantasy managers want to hear heading into draft season.

The biggest reason to buy the rebound is role and volume. Washington still leans on McLaurin as its top receiver, and the offensive environment looks friendlier if Jayden Daniels stays healthy and the passing game remains on schedule. Recent fantasy previews project him for a meaningful target share and slot him in the WR2 range, with some rankings placing him around WR18 to WR23.

There is still a little team-context risk, though. McLaurin has been described as being on a deal that gives Washington flexibility after the 2026 season, so his long-term future with the Commanders is not completely locked in. For this year, though, there has been no sign of a trade or release that should change his immediate fantasy outlook.

In fantasy drafts, McLaurin looks like a reliable WR2 with weekly WR1 upside if the health of both he and Daniels cooperates. He’s a particularly appealing pick in full-PPR and half-PPR leagues because his route-running, target share, and big-play ability give him a stable floor with room for strong spike weeks.
