Travis Hunter enters the 2026 fantasy football season as one of the league’s most intriguing high-variance bets. The latest reporting points to Jacksonville using him as a “full-time corner and part-time WR,” which means his fantasy value still depends heavily on how many offensive snaps he gets, not just his talent.

Before his season was cut short in 2025 by an LCL tear, Hunter was already showing usable fantasy involvement on offense, and that early usage is the main reason drafters are still interested. FantasyPros notes that he was a schemed-touch weapon who led the Jaguars in catches before the injury, but also cautions that his value drops sharply if his offensive snap volume falls further in 2026.

For redraft leagues, Hunter looks more like a late-round upside pick than a reliable weekly starter right now. Multiple 2026 previews project a reduced offensive role and place him outside the top tier of fantasy receivers, with one projection system slotting him around WR75 and another suggesting flex-level or lower usefulness unless his role expands or Jacksonville suffers injuries at receiver.

The best way to treat Hunter is as a player whose ceiling still comes from a possible offensive breakout, but whose floor is lower than it was a year ago because the Jaguars appear committed to increasing his cornerback workload. If you want upside and are comfortable with uncertainty, he is worth a bench stash; if you want safer weekly production, his 2026 profile is too role-dependent to trust as more than a matchup-based play.
