Tyrone Tracy enters the 2026 fantasy football season as a useful mid-round target because he still has a clear path to touches in New York, and his 2025 production showed he can contribute as both a runner and receiver. FantasyPros notes that he finished last season with 740 rushing yards and 288 receiving yards over 15 games, and that from Weeks 10-18 he was the RB14 in fantasy points per game while averaging 18.7 touches and 95.5 total yards.

The biggest storyline for Tracy is workload competition. FantasyPros currently describes him as a strong handcuff and says Cam Skattebo is expected to lead the Giants’ backfield if healthy, but also adds that if Skattebo misses time, Tracy could be a plug-and-play RB2. That makes Tracy valuable in drafts because his weekly ceiling is tied to injuries or a shift in the depth chart, while his floor is more modest if he is only in a rotation.

There is also reason for optimism about his efficiency and role in game scripts. FantasyPros points out that Tracy ranked 27th in explosive run rate and 31st in yards after contact per attempt among 49 qualifying backs, which supports the idea that he can create fantasy value even without elite volume. Fantasy Life’s recent Week 1 preview was also bullish on him, projecting early-down work and labeling him a player to “smash” in a favorable matchup.

For 2026 fantasy managers, Tracy profiles best as a depth running back with upside rather than a locked-in starter. If you want stability, he is more of an RB3 or flex stash, but if you are drafting for ceiling and contingency value, he is exactly the kind of back worth targeting because one injury ahead of him could quickly turn him into a weekly fantasy starter.
