Davante Adams
Los Angeles Rams
Season Preview
Davante Adams enters the 2025 fantasy football season with renewed energy and a promising fresh start after signing a two-year, $44 million deal with the Los Angeles Rams. This move puts him in a more stable and proven environment, catching passes from Matthew Stafford and playing under head coach Sean McVay, known for his sharp offensive mind. Adams himself has expressed feeling “rejuvenated” this offseason, which is a great sign given his history as a highly motivated and dangerous wide receiver when fully engaged.
The Rams' offense also presents a significant opportunity for Adams. With the departure of Cooper Kupp, Demarcus Robinson, and Tyler Johnson, there are over 200 vacated targets up for grabs. This means Adams stands to see a much larger share of the passing game than in recent years, offering a strong path back to WR1 fantasy status. If Puka Nacua, the other top receiver on the Rams, struggles with injuries as he has in the past, Adams could easily step into the clear No. 1 receiver role and deliver serious week-winning performances that fantasy managers crave.
However, there are some caution points. Adams is now 32 years old, and while he has maintained steady fantasy production over the years, his overall seasonal points have declined slowly over the past five years. He missed some games last season due to a hamstring injury, and age always brings some risk of diminishing returns, especially after shifting teams multiple times recently. Plus, while Adams is expected to be the No. 2 option behind Nacua, his ultimate value could hinge on Nacua’s health and workload distribution.
Overall, Adams should still be considered a top-15 fantasy wide receiver with legitimate upside to be a WR1 this season. His new environment, experienced quarterback, and Sean McVay’s system should maximize his skills. Fantasy managers who believe he can stay healthy and leverage this vacated target share will likely see substantial rewards. Thus, targeting Adams in drafts or trades offers a good blend of high floor and high ceiling for 2025 fantasy football campaigns.
