Davante Adams
Los Angeles Rams
Season Preview
Davante Adams enters 2026 still looking like a very strong fantasy starter, and the most important thing for his outlook is that he appears set to remain with the Rams after closing 2025 in Los Angeles. Recent preseason reporting has Sean McVay saying he “absolutely” expects Adams back, which gives him the kind of stable situation fantasy managers want from a veteran receiver. His 2025 season was excellent when healthy, and that alone keeps him firmly in the mix as one of the better wideouts in fantasy.
The biggest concern is durability, not talent. Adams missed the end of last season after aggravating a hamstring injury in Week 15, and reports also noted he dealt with a knee issue during that stretch. That injury history matters because he is entering his age-34 season, when recovery can get a little trickier and missed time becomes more likely to affect weekly reliability.
From a fantasy angle, Adams still profiles as a touchdown-driven WR2 with WR1 upside if the situation stays favorable. Multiple 2026 outlooks point to a slight step back from his league-leading touchdown pace in 2025, but even the more cautious projections still see him as a productive receiver in the neighborhood of 68 catches, around 925 to 935 yards, and roughly 10 touchdowns. That combination is strong enough to win weeks, especially in formats that reward touchdowns and big plays.
The best way to draft Adams is as a high-upside veteran whose ceiling is tied to red-zone usage and health. If he stays on the field, the Rams’ passing game should give him plenty of scoring chances, but he is no longer the type of player to build a fantasy team around as an every-week volume lock. In 2026, he looks like a confident WR2 target who can still deliver WR1 stretches, just with a little more injury risk than in his prime.
