Malik Willis

Malik Willis enters the 2026 fantasy football season as a much more interesting name than he was a year ago. He signed a three-year, $67.5 million deal with the Miami Dolphins in March 2026, and that move changed his fantasy profile from low-end bridge quarterback to a potential starting option in a faster, more pass-friendly offense.

The biggest fantasy swing here is opportunity. Miami moved on from Tua Tagovailoa and turned the job over to Willis, which gives him a real chance to open the year with a full-time role and some starting-volume production. If he wins and keeps the job, his rushing ability should give him a solid weekly floor, especially in formats that reward quarterback runs and big-play scoring.

There is some risk baked into the profile, though. Willis dealt with shoulder and hamstring issues late in the previous season with Green Bay, and he was also added to an illness designation during that stretch, so durability is worth monitoring even though the current reports point to him being active and on Miami’s roster heading into 2026. That makes him a higher-upside, higher-variance fantasy QB rather than a set-and-forget starter.

For fantasy managers, Willis is best viewed as a late-round quarterback with upside in two-quarterback and superflex leagues. In standard one-QB leagues, he is a streaming candidate or bench stash unless he shows early-season passing efficiency and red-zone involvement for Miami. The key fantasy question is simple: if the Dolphins commit to him as the starter, Willis has enough rushing and team context to matter; if not, his value drops quickly.
