What makes Shough appealing is the dual-threat floor: recent previews have highlighted that he was turning in fantasy-friendly stat lines down the stretch, with multiple games of 20-plus rushing yards or multiple passing scores, and that kind of profile can stabilize weekly output even if the Saints’ offense is only average.

The main reason to buy is cost versus ceiling. He’s being drafted in the QB19-QB21 range in many preseason rankings, yet multiple analysts see a path to QB1-level value if he keeps the starting job and continues operating efficiently in Kellen Moore’s system.
