Season Preview

The Bills enter 2026 as one of the more fantasy-friendly teams in the league, led by Josh Allen and a passing game that looks more balanced than it has in years. Allen remains the clear QB1 anchor because of his rushing ceiling and weekly multi-TD upside, while the biggest change for fantasy is the addition of DJ Moore, who arrived in a March trade and gives Buffalo a true high-volume perimeter option to pair with Khalil Shakir and Dalton Kincaid.

For receivers, the headline is health. Shakir is dealing with an undisclosed issue and is listed as questionable for Week 1, while Keon Coleman is also questionable with a foot injury, and Skyler Bell has been limited by a lower-body problem; that creates some early-season uncertainty in the target pecking order. In a healthy scenario, Moore looks like the most reliable fantasy starter, Shakir profiles as a strong PPR complement, and Coleman remains the swing-for-the-fences upside play, but the current injuries make it wise to monitor Buffalo’s final preseason and opening-week usage closely.

The backfield still runs through James Cook, who remains the safest Bills runner for fantasy because of his efficiency and passing-game involvement. Buffalo has also kept depth pieces around him, but the team’s recent transactions and injuries suggest the workload should still be concentrated rather than truly split, which keeps Cook in the RB1 conversation and Ty Johnson more of a contingent stash than a must-start option.

At tight end, Dalton Kincaid is still the best bet for a fantasy breakout if the offense keeps pushing toward a more spread, pass-first identity under Joe Brady, and early reports have been encouraging since he did not need offseason knee surgery. Overall, the Bills are a strong fantasy stack again in 2026: Allen is the centerpiece, Cook is a dependable weekly starter, Moore brings the highest receiver floor, and Kincaid has the clearest path to a value jump if Buffalo’s new-look passing game clicks quickly.
